January 14th, 2015 (11:18pm)
Woho! It didn't take five more years... and I've got a whopping 24 pages of the Suikoden 5 official 4koma manga for you all! More 4koma than anyone ever wanted, eh? (Don't worry, there's only about four more volumes.) I also updated the artist's names with the correct Japanese and English spellings. Thanks for your support, everyone!
January 11th, 2015 (3:47am)
It's been... wow. Five years. I guess that's about what I expected, but it's still a little shocking to be reminded of how quickly time passes. In any case, ignore gramps here - in celebration of pretty much wrapping up the Xenogears 4koma manga (98.9%), here's chapter 5 of the Suikoden V 4koma manga! I guess if there are still fans out there who want to read Xenogears stuff, there must be Suikoden V fans running about too, eh? \(=w=)/
January 10th, 2015 (4:53pm)
Here's to a happy new year! We're 4/5ths of the way through the official Xenogears 4koma manga, and it looks like we'll be able to make it to the end of the book successfully.
December 19th, 2014 (3:04pm)
Well, it's as I thought - even just reading the first five pages, neocactar caught a handful of typos in Pineapple Three. (Mostly to do with Natsukichi becoming... Nastukichi, hahaha.) So there will be a second version released at some point, either on its own, or as the full volume release (that is, zipped up together with chapter 1 and 3, though there's no estimation for how long chapter 3 will take.) Looks like Niku is too busy at present to work on helping me rewrite the Soul Eater prologue, so I'll just keep plugging away at chapter 1 of the novel for now, and see where we are at the end of that, in terms of releasing a pdf version. :>
December 13rd, 2014 (10:20pm)
Happy belated birthday to myself and happy somewhat early new year to everyone! Here's Yumi Tamura's Wangan Jungle chapter 2/3: Pineapple Three! Congrats to Ramsus-kun on our 100th release - thanks for sticking with us for ten years plus! (Huh, I guess ten projects on average a year isn't a bad rate for an amateur translator, eh?)
I want to wrap up volume 1 of the Suikoden I official manga in 2015. I'm also thinking about how we can move forward with the Suikoden anthology and 4koma manga, but for now I'll keep focusing on the Xenogears 4koma manga as well as the official Suikoden I Soul Eater novel.
December 3rd, 2014 (5:43pm)
Happy December! To celebrate, here's part 3/5 of the official 1998 Xenogears 4koma manga. Check out the 4koma blog for daily translations! The prologue for the Suikoden I Soul Eater novel is also complete, but Niku and I are currently working on creating a smoother English version before I create a pdf for the prologue and post it here to Ramsus-kun. Keep yer eyes peeled!
November 27th, 2014 (2:46pm)
Hey all! The third part of the Xenogears 4koma manga will be released on December 3rd, and that's also the day the Xenogears giveaway will end. I also hope to get Yumi Tamura's short story from Wangan Jungle, Pineapple Three, out in time for New Years! Also, if anyone is interested in typesetting the Suikoden V 4koma manga, drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com
November 10th, 2014 (1:22pm)
Reuke and I are working on the second volume of the Breath of Fire series doujinshi, "Forest of Bones"! Since it's about 60 pages, it may take us a few months to finalize everything, but it sure is exciting to be working on finishing such old projects. ;) The Suikoden I Soul Eater novel translation project and Xenogears 4koma manga project are both still going strong, too!
November 2nd, 2014 (12:08am)
Happy November! Just thought I'd throw this out there - if anybody has any normal Chrono Cross doujinshi or Fire Emblem Awakening doujinshi they would be interested in scanning/having me translate, drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com !
October 30th, 2014 (1:43am)
Two releases in one month! Not bad at all. Part 2/5 of the Xenogears 4koma manga is here! I'm really proud that I've kept to the goal of translating a page a day. (With the help of Tumblr's queue system.) Speaking with a professor of mine yesterday reminded that I need to keep challenging my brain to translate novels, lest I lose all the skills I gained in the past year. So in order to keep those skills from rusting, I decided to reboot my attempts to translate the official Suikoden 1 Soul Eater novel. Goal is a page per week, though I hope to up that to at least two pages a week if all goes well. Not entirely happy with the format of posts yet, but you can read the weekly translations here! I'd also really love to translate Yumi Tamura's original novels, so if anyone owns them/is willing to scan them or knows where I can pick up copies, drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com ! Thank you, as always, for your support. ;)
October 5th, 2014 (3:18am)
In answer to Reuke's guestbook question and request, I've uploaded three Breath of Fire doujinshi in one zip:
- Forest of Bones volume 1 (98% translated circa 2006-8, see release for details)
- Forest of Bones volume 2 (raw, Japanese)
- To The Fire (raw, Japanese)
Right now the updates/release section of this page has a link to the "Breath of Fire doujinshi" page, where you can find the mediafire download link, but the Projects section itself is missing a Breath of Fire section. Apologies for any confusion that may cause, but I've got somewhere to be tomorrow, so I'm not going to worry about it too much today. (And I'll likely forget about it in the future, ha ha.) Let me know if you have any issues with the download itself. In other news, the Xenogears 4koma project is going strong - haven't missed a day yet. At this pace, I think Part 2 (p32-63) will be available here on Ramsus-kun around the start of November, or mid-November, depending. Nice!
September 1st, 2014 (12:29pm)
As promised, here's part 1 (p01-31) of the official Xenogears 4koma manga! Check out the Xenogears 4koma translation blog for daily releases of 4koma. Next compiled batch will be pages 32-63. Thanks for all your support, everyone! Especially you, Wandering Poet!
August 15th, 2014 (1:52am)
Proud and pleased to say the Xenogears 4koma blog has been coming along well and I've kept the one-post-a-day goal up so far! (I'm terrible with timely things, so this feels like quite an accomplishment.) Once the posted pages hit 30, in about a week, it's my goal to upload those first 30 pages and post them here on Ramsus-kun. We won't be seeing any more shojo-ai oneshots or Yumi Tamura manga for a good while yet - probably not until after this ambitious Xenogears project is complete. (So... in four months or so? Kinda crazy. Wish I could do twice the amount of work I want to in half the time!) Anyhow, let's keep rolling on!
July 17th, 2014 (11:51pm)
Before I head out of town for awhile, I'm very pleased to announce that shojo-ai one shot I've been hinting at for a few weeks is now available to download! Drumroll, please... Amagakure Gido's 24-page Ephemeral Asterism! (一瞬のアステリズム) Thank you to Carstairs for your invaluable assistance with these projects. Enjoy!
July 12th, 2014 (11:10pm)
Thanks to Waka, who volunteered to help typeset the project, you can now download chapter 12 of the official Suikoden V Anthology manga. (An astounding six pages long!)
July 9th, 2014 (6:55pm)
Today I felt compelled to start up an ambitious reboot of my translation for the official Xenogears 4koma manga, so I've created a blog with the goal of posting one translated 4koma a day there. Of course, it won't really happen once a day, but what's life without dreams? If the project is ever completed - it'll only take about 250 days - I'll post the entire book as a zip download here on Ramsus-kun.
July 6th, 2014 (2:06am)
Today we're pleased to bring you a regular/serious Suikoden 1 doujinshi, Mizu Hanada, that Yuyukangkang and I have been working on for some months on and off. (I completely forgot about it for a time, so I'm doubly happy to see it complete.) I also updated the link for Dreaming at Dawn: corrected one translation error and responded to the guestbook question regarding this title. As always, if a link for a title you want to download is dead, or if you're interested in helping typeset the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga (or any other future project), just drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com or via the guestbook here. Keep on enjoying life!
June 24th, 2014 (2:56pm)
Hmm, are you guys having trouble accessing pages on Ramsus-kun? (The Projects page, for example, doesn't seem to want to load for me at the moment, but I can't tell if that's just my computer acting crazy again, or something wonky with the support server itself.) Well, here's the promised yuri/shojo-ai one-shot, Dreaming At Dawn - and, in case the pages aren't loading for you either - here's a straight link to the Media Fire download, until we get that issue resolved. Enjoy!
June 20th, 2014 (10:39pm)
Still fixing up some minor things with that shojo-ai one-shot, so here's a small present instead! The first part of six total that I intend to do for a 2003 Eyeshield 21 gag anthology doujinshi, Midsummer Miracle. In honor of the blue skies and shining sun. ...When we get there, to celebrate Ramsus-kun's 100th release, it would be nice to go through the site and clear out and update all the dead links. We'll see if there's time. ;) As usual, if there's a dead link for a title you want, or if you're interested in helping typeset the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga, just drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com or via the guestbook here. Cheers!
June 12th, 2014 (3:26pm)
We're cooking up another surprise for you guys... another shojo-ai one-shot! Might have it done within a week if we're lucky, so keep yer eyes peeled. ;)
May 29th, 2014 (4:21pm)
Heyo! Today, Ramsus-kun is proud to unexpectedly bring you a small, regular, boring, silly and fun Final Fantasy 9 doujinshi "Never Failing" by Nekono Sakana! If that sounds like your cuppa tea, check out the links to the left. I wonder how many years ago I started that translation? Must be four or five, if not more... it's nice to complete something I thought might never be finished. ;)
The doujinshi's only available via Mediafire at the moment, if you'd like it uploaded via an alternative service or if you notice any broken links, just let me know through the guestbook or by emailing me at RinUzuki@gmail.com - also feel free to contact me if you're interested in typesetting the official Suikoden 5 Anthology manga, the official Xenogears 4koma manga, or any of our other pending projects.
May 7th, 2014 (10:08am)
Got through another year at SakuraCon successfully. For anyone who's interested, my Harvest Moon doujinshi is available to buy through storenvy ($14 + S/H) - only 7 copies remaining! I also released a small mini digital first chapter of my manga Kobori no Mori through Storenvy and Gumroad for $1 (14p, full color, pdf!) so be sure to check it out! Thank you to Shiro for asking after the Sui5 anthology manga. If anyone wants to typeset it, I'm more than willing to continue translating it. Just contact me at RinUzuki@gmail.com if you're interested! Carry on, everyone! Towards a bright future!!!
March 17th, 2014 (2:21am)
Hey! More... Suikoden doujinshi. Bet no one saw that coming, huh? (Who said something about Xenogears awhile back...?) But here it is, something I grabbed and threw together over the last few days to 1) get through the stress of finals, and 2) celebrate turning in my paper early! hurrah!!! (Tomorrow will bring more work, but let's celebrate for now.) I don't know if anyone reads these doujin. Does anyone read them? Well, here they are, regardless. May you anyones enjoy them! ;) And a merry goodnight to all!
March 14th, 2014 (2:36pm)
Well! The Suikoden 1 doujin "Mizu Hanada"'s translation was completed awhile back, but unfortunately computer issues have prevented the typeset from being completed, but hopefully that'll happen some day. Another by the name of 音咲く庭 (Soundbloom Garden?) has also been 50% translated and typeset. I also began work on a rather unexpected project, a Phoenix Wright/Gyakuten Saiban H doujinshi by the name of R x M. Though the translation is about 90% complete excluding foreword and afterword, I think, I'm not sure when I'll have time to typeset it. We'll see, I suppose!
March 6th, 2014 (10:13am)
And it's March already! Crazy. Well, I've sent our second Harvest Moon doujinshi to the printers! We should be getting the books sometime around mid-April, when they'll also become available on our Storenvy. From now until mid-April, you can preorder the book for $10 + S/H by contacting me via DA or email [ RinUzuki@gmail.com ]--not a bad deal at all for 40+ pages of comics and illustrations, if I do say so myself! I doubt there will be any time for more scanslations until late April, though believe me when I say I'm really itching to do some. But got to get work out of the way first, eh? Just a reminder that if anyone is up for typesetting the Suikoden 5 anthology manga, I'd be happy to continue translating chapters--and that's something I can squeeze in between work and school. (Also! My friend and I are hoping to translate Tamura Yumi-sensei's Tomoe ga Yuku, which I'm super pumped about! So look forward to that, Tamura fans... some year.)
January 24th, 2014 (1:21am)
Holy cow! Two releases in one month! No one's here to enjoy them, but Ramsus-kun is on a rare roll...! (Enough Suikoden, though, seriously, let's get some Final Fantasy, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, something in here!) >:p
January 21st, 2014 (12:26pm)
Wohoho! Thanks to dear Kai, who's volunteered both scans and time to typeset, we may be able to bring you guys another Suikoden doujinshi in the near future! What an exciting start for the new year. I haven't scanned anything new in in years, but while I seem to be able to make a little time for personal translation projects, I'm contemplating scanning in two of my favorite doujinshi to work on: one Darren Shan book called "A Little..." and a sweet FF7 doujinshi by the name of 「流星の人」. I'm a little nervous about it, heheh. We'll see if it happens! Once again, just give me a heads up--or three--if links aren't working, and I'll get them up ASAP. Our dear old proofreader, Neocactar, also insists that I share the link to an art-based store I've set up with friends on Storenvy. I had a Harvest Moon doujinshi I drew for sale up there, but it's currently out of print. Life's full of good things! Books, translating, art... ho hoho.
January 5th, 2014 (9:38pm)
Let's ring in the new year with "Eve", a wonderfully-drawn Suikoden 1 doujinshi by Migi! Credits for the scans go to Lapis Lazuli of The Missing Kite. (Also, looks like all the direct download links on Ramsus-kun have probably stopped functioning, so just ignore them, as I've no time to take them all down. If you find a translation you want to read and no links work, let me know at RinUzuki@gmail.com and we'll get the files re-uploaded ASAP.)
November 1st, 2013 (4:10pm)
Sometimes I just get the urge to translate some good old Harry Potter regular/gag doujinshi. That ever happen to you guys?
October 7th, 2013 (1:58am)
Hey-oh! I'm finally finally finally able to take a real translation course at University. I'm excited, nervous, a bit neurotic as always. ;D I believe the workload will only increase from here on out, so I don't think I'll be able to get in hardly any side-translation work on the sly for Ramsus-kun or anything else, but after this year is up, my translation skills should be something more approaching something I can put on a resume! Watch out, world!!!
Instead of devoting my free time to these fun translation projects, I'll probably be trying to make time for art (check it out on DA or tumblr if you're interested) and my own original manga doujinshi projects--we released the free-for-download Xenogears 15th Anniversary Anthology and I printed a short, silly, English-language Harvest Moon doujinshi earlier this year. We're also currently putting together an Adventure Time anthology for print and sale!
And then, when the year's up, I'll either be horrendously busy trying to actually break into the field of translation, or... I'll be jobless and possibly sitting around translating doujinshi! ;) So this ain't farewell, my dear Ramsus-kun, but just a note to let'cha know where I'm at. 'Cuz wherever I'm at, doujinshi, manga, translating and art'll be there too! WHOO!
August 25th, 2013 (8:52pm)
Yaho! Back from my adventures a world away. The Suikoden II doujinshi Love Sickness has been re-uploaded! Thanks for letting me know the link was down, guys. ...I feel like the translation for the second volume was started or completed way back when, too... I wonder what's become of it?
March 23rd, 2013 (2:00am)
Haha, we called for a celebration, and here it is--a little 11 page Final Fantasy gag doujinshi from 1998 called Final Heaven! Enjoy!
March 22nd, 2013 (1:56pm)
Hey-oh! To those of you who have been following or are interested in the project, an English patch of the videogame and spin-off sequel to Suikoden 1/2/3, Suikogaiden I is now complete available to download! I'm so proud... Bolt and Lantern and Suikogaiden both finally getting wrapped up! 2013 is a bloody good year!
March 9th, 2013 (5:51pm)
Well, it's been a long journey...! I translated and released the first chapter of Bolt and Lantern over five years ago, on December 8th, 2007. And now, here and today, I am proud and pleased to present you with the final chapter! I hope you've enjoyed Nidell and Coco's story, and I'd love to hear your feedback on this final chapter. I'll release a compilation of all the chapters in the book after they've been reviewed one last time. (So this is your chance to point something out if you've been wanting to say it!)
Also, Bun is on a trip, so if anyone is interested in filling his role of typesetter for the remaining chapters of the Suikoden 5 Anthology Manga, please feel free to drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com (On that note, I too will be gone for at least three months come this summmer, on a journey of my own, and may be out of contact from June to August.) Happy reading, everyone!
March 9th, 2013 (3:44pm)
As promised, here are chapters 10 and 11 of the Suikoden 5 Anthology Manga! Chapter 11's gotta be one of my favorites--it's only a few pages long, but the gags are rather in the style of, say, Gintama or Cromartie High School, which is always good fun. Enjoy!
March 8th, 2013 (3:43am)
"Bolt and Lantern's final chapter is now two pages away from being completely complete, Solt." "Well done, Peppor!" (If I could think of any Chrono Cross elemental jokes to insert here, I would. But for now, I'm too tired to believe I can proofread this thing--without destroying my day tomorrow any further. So maybe we can get this thing out... Sunday? Keep yer fingers crossed, lasses, lads. And somebody remind me about those Suikoden V manga chapters, we'll get them released too! huhu~)
February 7th, 2013 (1:46pm)
Hey! Bun has kindly sent me a couple more scanslated chapters of the Suikoden 5 manga, and I slipped in some secret translating time on a wonderful Suikoden 1 doujinshi by the esteemed artist Migi, so hopefully... one day... I will bring some of these things to you guys! Real life is killin' me, but I'll never stop translating!!!! See you all when I can!
December 30th, 2012 (5:40am)
Hey one, hey all! Another quick Suikoden 5 Anthology manga (v2) update, thanks to Bun's hard work; chapter 9 is now available for download! I've also provided a direct download link for chapters 7 and 8, which was previously missing. Thanks for the comments and guestbook signatures! Happy new year!
December 21st, 2012 (6:57pm)
And... as if in answer to my last update, Bun has popped back up out of the woodwork, bringing you loyal fans the typesets for the Suikoden 5 Anthology Manga, volume 2, chapters 7 & 8! Both are pretty silly chapters and a good deal of fun--enjoy! Hope the winter season is treating you all as well as possible! I zipped up the two chapters using 7zip, so if anyone has any trouble accessing them, let me know and I'll re-upload them. ;)
December 16th, 2012 (9:40pm)
The Suikoden 3 doujinshi "Ani" and "I Love You Most in All the World" have been re-uploaded, though I'd definitely like to revamp the latter someday. Thanks for letting me know the links were down. Also, if anyone is interested in giving a hand with the Suikoden 5 anthology manga over the winter holidays, I've got three or four chapters of it translated, just waiting to be typeset! ;) I imagine I'll be too busy myself to do any typesetting this break--though I hope to prove that wrong, at the very least with some translating!--so drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com any time if you'd like to do some typesetting work!
November 12th, 2012 (4:08am)
Hello all! Long time no speak, eh? Some of you may have noticed that the translations of the Suikoden manga have actually been up for a few weeks, thanks to Destiny Project's hard work and help. I hadn't updated the main site because I wanted to re-upload the Part 2 files, as I think they're not actually the final versions I hoped to go with. However, a translation is better than no translation, as they say, so even if it's not up to my bloody nitpicky standards (who cares about them, anyhow?), the links are there for you lot, so enjoy 'em if that's your thing! I'm gonna be bogged down the next three or so months with study abroad applications and with wrapping up(!) the Xenogears 15th Anniversary Anthology project, so I doubt there'll be much time for translating the fun stuff, but don't worry--like trash, Ramsus-kun'll never really fade away.
October 6th, 2012 (2:10pm)
More Suikoden I official manga scanslations will be on their way soon! Keep your fingers crossed, and we'll get this thing released!
September 27th, 2012 (10:08am)
Thanks for the guestbook signatures and emails, everybody! They mean a lot to me. I also appreciate the notices when links are down--I'll try to get to re-uploading the works next chance I get, but feel free to drop me a line again if a bit of time passes (a month or so, haha. This quarter's crazy, but I think things will settle down.) :)
September 9th, 2012 (4:43am)
Woah, in less than a week, we get another doujinshi! Is this heaven?! Maybe not, but you can still find the Stars of Fate in a Suikoden II doujinshi by the same name! I always thought Amara Gaku's art was kindy lumpy and goggly-eyed, but Stars of Fate II is quite impressive. Click on the links to the left and head over the Suikoden doujinshi section to check it out!
September 2nd, 2012 (12:45am)
Hah! Hey! A NEW (15 year old) doujinshi is here! It's the long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 gag doujinshi, SOLDIER! If you like comedy, crude art, and cruder humor, this doujinshi should bring a smile to your face. And it was a blast to work on! Let me know if you enjoy it--and if you want to scan any more like it. :-D I'll miss being able to translate those silly 4koma panels! And that's not something I say often. But Bunko and Kiyomaru's art has got a particular charm and humor about it that I really enjoy. Too-small-to-read (ie, useless) previews here!
July 20th, 2012 (7:49pm)
Hello one, hello all! The Final Fantasy 7 doujinshi Nostalgia has been re-uploaded. Thanks for letting me know the link was down! I've also created the section for Yumi Tamura's Wangan Jungle, so the download links for chapter 1 are now available there. :3 I'll be out of town for about a week, but I still hope to do loads of translating before summer ends...! <3
July 8th, 2012 (12:21pm)
Hurray! Everybody thank Bun for all his typesetting work! Chapter 6 of the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga is here! Chapter 5 is now also available via direct download. >w<)/ wahahaha, this is so exciting! And thank you, Jenny and Wish, for stopping to say thanks for Wangan Jungle! I really appreciate knowing that people are reading it! Any fan of Yumi Tamura's is a fan of mine! :D I've started chapter 2's translation... more fun with Tamura-sensei and names! I wonder how far I can go...? (And, seeing those guestbook signatures made me curious, so I checked and the mediafire account lists 42 downloads! Not bad, not bad at all! I hope everybody who's downloaded it enjoys it!) By the way, I think chapter 2 isn't connected to chapter 1, but chapter 3 does seem to be connected to chapter 1. (Haven't looked at it very closely yet though.) Let's keep rolling on!!!!
July 6th, 2012 (12:12am)
WAHOO! Surprise!!!!! The thing... that none of you were waiting for, because no one knew I was working on it!! A real-live MANGA!!! hahaha Yumi Tamura's 1999 one-shot compilation, Wangan Jungle!!! Part one of three, or chapter 1: Wangan Jungle, is now available for download!! (Media Fire or Direct) (I'll make a page for it later.) Hahah, oh jeez, working on this has made me so bleedin' happy, even if my hands are crying!
In other news, I got to pretty much the last chapter (c14) of volume 2 of the Suikoden V Anthology manga. Offer still stands, if you're interested in helping typeset, just drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com 'cuz I think Bun's gonna be overwhelmed with about ten chapters at once, haha. And perhaps my next release will be the final chapter of Bolt and Lantern?! I really appreciate everyone who's cheering for that final chapter...!! I think I'm just gonna re-do the whole darn translation, it's been so long. I LOVE TRANSLAAAATING--!!!! Everybody, take care of yourself, and enjoy the night sky!!! Let me know what you think of Wangan Jungle, eh?!
July 2nd, 2012 (12:10pm)
Woohoo! I've finally found some time to translate, and I've blazed through a few chapters of the Suikoden V Anthology manga!! I think I can still count on Bun to help out with the typesetting, but I think he's off travelling to foreign lands, so--if there's anybody out there reading this that wants to help out with typesetting the junk I translate, feel free to drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com and let me know! (If you can include an example of your typsetting work/experience/or at least say why you think you'd enjoy doing the typsetting, that'd be sweet too, though not required!) These days I can barely squeeze in translating, which is my favorite part, so if people wanted to help out with the typesetting half of the scanlsating business. we might get some stuff done! (haha, or maybe not. Nevertheless, I'll be here, slowly slowly snailiy schnekkishly translating life away! <3 ) Thanks for all the guestbook comments, I'll reply to them when I'm sick of translating, or next time we get to upload something! :D
May 2nd, 2012 (12:35pm)
Woah!! Outta no-where, a new chapter of the Suikoden 5 Anthology Manga!!!! Weren't expecting that, were you?! Heh. Only available via mediafire for the moment, just let me know if you need it any other way. Much thanks to Bun, for filling the much-needed role of typesetter for this project, in the stead of our dear Dynast--we'll miss you! Thank you for all your hard work all this time! I've been sneaking in translation work here and there, so maybe some more scanslations will start to trickle in... let's find out! (And keep reminding me about the last chapter of Bolt and Lantern!) Catch ya later!
April 22nd, 2012 (1:09pm)
An update on the Suikoden 1 manga project, since someone asked: I've got up to p100/164 of the first volume completely translated, and two kind people have been working on the scanslating part. I haven't checked in with them in quite awhile, so I'll do so now, and see what we can rummage up!
April 21st, 2012 (11:03pm)
Bolt and Lantern chapter 5 has been re-uploaded! I'm drowning in homework and editing stuff, but I'll try to slip in some slow snail scanslation work on the side!
April 13th, 2012 (10:28am)
Hey all! Thank you for sticking around. I still check the guestbook, and I'll try to get Bolt and Lantern chapter 5 re-uploaded by sometime this weekend! ;) (With a little luck and time, maybe I could even finally finish off the final chapter of the book... wouldn't that be nice? It'd be more than nice, it'd be a damn dream come true!) If you don't see anything by Sunday, shoot me an email at RinUzuki@gmail.com to jog my memory! <3 Love you all, and hope to scanslate scanslate scanslate more someday sooon...!
March 20th, 2012 (4:12am)
Whew! You guys over here may not care as much, but I've finally completed my revision of my translation of Suikogaiden chapter 3! (It's over here at the Suikogaiden Wiki!) There're are still a lotta question marks though, so any translating Suikoden fans who want to help me look this thing over are always always welcome!
March 17th, 2012 (10:53pm)
Hey! I'm working on stuff stuff stuff, in-between my editing and tutoring jobs and art and allll that loverly stuff, and nobody cares about this trash-bin of a site anymore but me, but! I don't mind, I'll keep on scanslating like a snail forever! :D
January 18th, 2012 (12:35am)
Hey! Yes, in answer to some guestbook questions, the final chapter of Bolt and Lantern WILL get here someday! It's been years, but we'll make it, dammit! :D I actually was able to work on it some just today--I got the artist talk 98% typed up, and all the pages are cleaned... I've scanslated up to about 193/216!!! I can't tell you how nice it feels to finally be able to work on this thing again! I don't know when I'll have time to work on it next--Suikogaiden is going very well, too!--but I'll surely keep it in mind, and I appreciate everyone who's mentioned it and commented about it over the years. Thank you so much for picking up this series! The end will be here!!!! (And happy belated New Year, everybody!)
December 3rd, 2011 (11:06pm)
Well, I've still got something exciting I can't wait to share with the rest of you, but it's the JLPT and two weeks of finals for me! Hopefully over break I'll get to work on lots and lots of projects though! There may be more shojo-ai and yuri coming your way, courtesy of carstairs (and me, but just a little)! Wooh!!!
November 6th, 2011 (8:12pm)
wohoho!! I've got something really, super exciting to bring you guys!!! I've just finished the rough translation today... and now I have to do some responsible-type things. :p So I dunno when next I'll get to look over this project, but I made amazingly good time with it, and I hope I'll keep being able to do that with projects!!! <3
November 1st, 2011 (9:51pm)
Trying to fix some things around the site, I seem to have broken various things here and there. All the links in the projects section should be fixed now, but let me know if you guys run into any trouble! Thank you for all your kind comments and feedback! :D
October 23rd, 2011 (10:23pm)
Heh. Well, it may not be me translating these most recent releases, but I can still enjoy working on them, as an editor! Through Carstairs' fine efforts, we're proud to bring you two more shojo-ai oneshots out of Yurihime magazine! "Dusk, Orange, The Blooming Flowers..." and "Abracadabra". They're both great reads, but the latter is particularly silly and fun--give 'em a read! You might enjoy them, even if you think shojo-ai's not your thing. :3 rin_uzuki, over and out!
October 21st, 2011 (12:21am)
Hey-oh! I've got this goal... well, dream goal... to translate something every week, or even just every month. That would be so sweet. And keep me on my bleedin' toes!!! I don't know if it'd be possible even if I weren't enmeshed in the Suikogaiden translation project (and a thousand other art projects and the gods know what else), but I'll keep on dreaming!
September 21st, 2011 (9:04pm)
Re-uploaded the first four chapters of the Suikoden 5 4koma manga as one zip, so they should all remain available for awhile now. :3 I'm happy to say the Harry Potter doujinshi"Flying High Students" and "Spacewalk" are both back up with new links, as well. (Waiting on "A Map in Pocket", though... I haven't found the original scans yet. I am getting more organized, though!) The Naruto doujinshiSummer Festival has been re-uploaded tool! Whew... this is more work than it looks like, re-editing these things... but it's worth it to finally get it done, and feel like I'm catching up with things! <3
September 21st, 2011 (6:01pm)
Hoho! Two real releases, followed by an updated re-release! That's right, that singular February 1998 chapter of Mysterious Chocobo, has been brought back to you in its full, restored glory! It's been put, somewhat inappropriately, in the one-shot section. :3 That was apparently Ramsus-kun's second finished project... and it was released over six years ago. (On my birthday, in fact.) Huh. That really takes me back... more than six years, and Ramsus-kun is still around...! How crazy is that?
September 21st, 2011 (in the wee hours of the morn')
What's this?! An actual release...!! Today I proudly introduce to you two shojo-ai one-shots: When You Say 'No', I Say 'Eek'! by Minoru Tanaka and 20 Musume x 30 Otome (or "20-Year-Old Woman x 30-Year-Old Girl"--sounds scandalous, doesn't it? But it's nothing X-rated, so stop tsk-tsk-ing like that...!) by Akiko Morishima, and along with them, an actual one-shot section for dear old Ramsus-kun, this trash-heap of a site!! <3 I'm working on transfering the majority of the images over to photobucket, as well as re-uploading the dead links you all have noted in the guestbook. Things may be slower around here than ever, what with real life and the Suikogaiden Translation Project, but thanks for dropping by every once in awhile!
August 29th, 2011
Woahh... time passes so quickly!! ("What time is it later?") Suikogaiden's still going strong, though, and I've even found a little time to devote to certain other projects... which may hopefully see the light of day some time... in the future! (Because in the past would just be confusing.) I've read all of your guestbook messages and emails and the like--thank you all, as always! Also, yes, I will get that Mysterious Chocobo chapter re-uploaded, as soon as possible! Whew... lots to be done! Good luck to you all! /bows out
July 10th, 2011
Hey, hey, still alive and kickin'! WORKIN' HARD ON THE SUIKOGAIDEN TRANSLATION PROJECT! HERE WE GO NOW!!!!
June 26th, 2011
I've uploaded volume 1 of the Suikoden 5 anthology manga in it's 16 chapter entiritey and taken down the individual links. I've also been devoting some time to the official Suikoden 1 manga! It may still be some time coming, but keep your fingers crossed, folks!
June 26th, 2011
Courtesy of Dynast's hard work typesetting, chapter 4 of volume 2 of the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga is now up and ready to read! :D HAPPY SUMMER BREAK to everyone getting to enjoy such a thing!
June 23rd, 2011
Woah! It's been almost a month since my last faux update, and more than that since my last real update! Life sure has been busy... well! I think I've finally gotten at least the main page off of imageshack and onto Photobucket, so hopefully we won't have these problems here. I've got something new to release, but I sort of have to figure out how/where I want to release it, first... and don't worry, it's nothing any of you have been looking forward to! It's a complete surprise, in fact! <3 (Well, maybe not a complete one, any more...) After this, Suikogaiden Project, here we come...!!
May 29th, 2011
Hello, hello! Ramsus-kun isn't dead! Still alive and kicking, though it may not seem like it at times! Give me a heads up if there are any more dead links! (Though I still haven't found the original files for that Suikoden 3 doujinshi... hmm... I want to re-edit it, but I suppose I should just re-release it before anything else!)
March 26th, 2011
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I proudly present to you... chapters 2 and 3 of the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga, courtesy of Dynast's hard work! (Well, and me too, haha.) It's been awhile since the last release, hasn't it? Well, things have been crazy busy, as busy as ever... but let's keep going! <3 Oh, yeah, and I'll get around to replying to all those guestbook signatures as soon as I can! (Or as soon as I need to take a break from translating or something, heheh.) Thank you to everyone who's left comments and encouragement! And thank you for pointing out the broken links, as well--I'm afraid I'm not quite sure where my originals of the Suikoden 3 doujinshi "I Love You The Most In The World" have gone to, but I'll try to hunt them down and get that re-edited and uploaded! X3
March 24th, 2011
Hey guys! I've switched most of the main page's images over to photobucket, but we may still continue to have problems with the images on the other pages. Sorry about that, but I haven't got time to reupload all the images on the site! (I don't know that I ever will, haha.) If I do have the time, I'm gonna spend it either working on translation projects (SUIKOGAIDEN, WHOO!!), working on my art projects for the upcoming cons (yeek! but exciting too!), or doing other responsible/unresponsible things, haha. Hope you're all well! Ramsus-kun'll keep being a faithful turtle snail-scanslator of a garbage can! <3
February 11th, 2011
I don't know what came over me... but I was waiting for a call, and I simply... decided I would upload this thing. So here it is, ladies and gents, I've been sitting on it for who knows how long---the Suikoden 2 doujinshi "Looking at the Same Sky" by Clips!! WOOHOO!!! First release of 2011!!!!! \(;w;)/ I should be Suikogaiden-ing, but I can take a break from everything once in awhile to come back to my first love, Ramsus-kun, no? Huhu! Enjoy! *bows out* I'll be back again when you least expect it!!
Ah, yes, and I'd like to apologize for the various broken image links (and download links)--I've been so busy, Ramsus-kun has fallen somewhat into disrepair... but let me know about the dead download links, and I can get those fixed, at any rate. Pictures are a bit more puzzling, but I can figure something out...
February 9th, 2011
Hey-oh! Those of you following the Suikogaiden Translation Project probably know that this is the month we're aiming to finish Suikogaiden's rough translation!! Things are crazy! WE'RE GONNA DO IT!!! And once we do, I think I'd like to celebrate by finishing up a bunch of scanslation projects that I've been oh-so-close to being done with for ages and ages. Heheh. I'm looking forward to that! <3
January 11th, 2011 (1/11/11! gahaha)
YOU GUYS, I WANT TO TRANSLATE SO MUCH!!! It's crazy!! haha I've got so many projects I wanna show the world and share with you all! Thank you to everyone who's offered their support and kind encouragement and scanned and donated projects over the years Ramsus-kun has been here, and especially over the last couple, when things have slowed down considerably on the main site. However, things are really coming together for the Suikogaiden Translation Project--I can feel it in my bones! We've set our goal for the rough translation to be done by next month!! We may not make it, but it's our goal, dammit! I'm all pumped up!! ORAAAH! XD
Oh! I'm sure no one reads this things, but I just thought I'd throw this out there--if you're interested in possibly cleaning scans for Ramsus-kun's future projects (lots of doujinshi, but some manga too), and cleaning them fairly well, drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com ! :3 Even though I enjoy all aspects of translating, it seems my time is pretty limited, so if people want to help me get things done, that might be one way. But only apply if you're really interested, and it's something you enjoy doing, you know? Anyhow, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! On to 2011!!!
December 31st, 2010
Hey-oh! The Lord of the Rings doujinshi The Bluest Eve (or The Bluest Eye(s)? haha) is now re-uploaded, available in three fabulous spinning alternate downloads! Thanks to Chirp for the most recent heads-up! I think that one's been down for awhile though, so thanks for your patience, guys! Hope all new readers enjoy! I'm working through responsible things, fun lazy things, and of course, translation projects, though you might not believe it to look at this trash bin of a site! Ahaha
December 23rd, 2010
Okay! The Xenosaga manga c1-4 is now re-uploaded and once again available for download! Thank you very much to Shara Sherenia for pointing out the broken links in the guestbook! I appreciate it! >w< You can now also read the Xenosaga manga online, page by page, if you so wish! Go to the actual Xenosaga manga page for the link! HOO-HAH! Let's keep doing our best, zooming off into the future...!!
December 23rd, 2010
1. Finish Suikogaiden chapter 2's translation
2. Begin work on adding everyone's suggestions/corrections/ect to all the finished chapters, getting everything polished up nice'n shiny for the final patch! Hopefully while this is happening, Sage will be working away on the third chapter! :D
3. After the bulk of the work on SG1 is done, I want to work on ・Suikoden 5 Anthology & 4koma manga, ・Suikoden 1 official manga (whoo!), ・BOLT AND LANTERN LAST CHAPTER YEAAAAHHHH!!! ・lots and lots of doujinshi (haha, as always!) and ・the Xenosaga manga! Quite a challenge, that one. Oh! And far off in the future... I want to do ・Yumi Tamura's manga!!! (Haha, maybe it's so far off in the future that I'll be an official translator by the time I get to do them?! That would be awesome!)
I've also got lots of art projects and videogames and jobs and school and all sorts of real life things to focus on, too. It's enough to make the world spin!! Kuru kuru kuru~♪
December 14th, 2010
I'm cu-re-ziiiii busy, but! I've got so many projects I'm looking forward to working on, complete ting and starting, that as slow as things may seem at times, rest assured that this site'll never die! Or at least my passion for translating and scanslating'll always still be here, burning away, (POETIC MUCH) whatever becomes of this trash-bin of a place! <3 But I've no intention of letting this place go to waste. It may be a garbage can (XENOEGARSS) but it's my garbage can and I love it! What am I even talking about anymore? Something sappy, perhaps. Something like "thank you so much to everyone who's signed the guestbook and e-mailed me, and I'll get back to you all as soon as I can!" MUCH LOVE and enthusiasm from your humble and ever growing Schnekk of a translator!! Over and out! Let's all keep zooming ahead and enjoying our lives and spouting enthusiasm every which way, eh? :D :D :D
November 25th, 2010
Ah, man, I update the Suikogaiden Translation Project way more often than I update the main Ramsus-kun site...!! ;A; I MISS SCASLATING SO MUCH YOU GUYS It's completely ridiculous! I want to translate! I want to scanslate! hwwwwooooooorghhh!! Even if I turn sixty and I've got thirty two grandchildren, I'LL STILL BE TRANSLATING DON'T YOU DOUBT IT
and actually what I wanted to say was
thank you all so much for your continued support and kindness! It means the world to me! I'll keep working hard and doing my best, even if from this trash-can of an angle, it don't look like I'm doing much! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! (This is my celebration, lol.)
October 25th, 2010
Wohohoh! I'm working on translation projects--I GROW POWERFUL! XD I can feel myself getting a bit faster, and maybe a bit better at all this! My studying is paying off!! <3 <3 <3 (And it's fun, to boot!) So! I'm currently working on lots of different translation projects, whenever I can find the time. Hopefully they'll slowly reach some state of completion, and you all can read them! (haha) Yeah... really... if I was to list them all here... it'd look like I was never doing homework, nor like I had any life atall! :3 I'd better hit the hay, but I'll saaaay~ thanks again for all the guestbook signatures! I'll get around to them as soon as I can! :D Thank you all for your continued support, for my slow-ass Ramsus-kun scanslatiooooons~! zzz
October 4th, 2010
The Suikogaiden Translation Project is coming along swimmingly! I've also got some other good news, but I'll keep in under wraps for now. Thank you to everyone who's signed the guestbook, and I'll get around to re-uploading various projects as soon as I'm able! :3 For now, I'd really better get to bed, if I expect to be anything more than a zombie tomorrow. huhu. (too late)
September 27th, 2010
Naruto doujinshi - Dorodorodororon is now re-uploaded, and available for download via Mediafire, Megaupload and direct download! Hmm! That sure was an oldddd project! *A* Thank you for your patience, everybody. We'll get all these things re-edited and re-uploaded. And then it's off to Suikogaiden and Bolt and Lantern and other delicous things! *zoooooom*
September 15th, 2010
Harry Potter doujinshi - Flying High Students is now re-uploaded! Mediafire, Megaupload and direct download links available! <3 I tried to fix up the scanslation a bit too, though that one's so bizarre that I can only feel that Oyabun's translation fits it quite perfectly. XD I'll keep re-uploading and updating these projects 'till I've got everything done! Thank you for your support, everyone! :3
September 14th, 2010
Yumi Tamura sure has written a lot of manga...! I really love her works, so I'd really like to read all of them--or at the very least, more of them. I'd give translating them a stab!! I know I shouldn't even be entertaining the thought, being a slow-ass translator who hasn't even finished the 6 chapter Bolt and Lantern yet... but hell! If nobody else does, how am I gonna read them? Haha! Now I've just gotta get my hands on some copies--who knows? Maybe no one's translated them because they're all terrible. I do wonder what her pre-Basara works are like! [Edit: woah! I just found a bunch of raws for a bunch of her series?! *dokidoki* This was completely, utterly unexpected...!! Downloading now... jeez, I hope the quality's nice and readable! Hee! So exciting...!!] And, and! The Suikogaiden Translation Project is coming along fabulously! <3
September 10th, 2010
The following projects are now re-uploaded to Mediafire and Megaupload, as well as available for direct download:
Thank you again to Godsibb for volunteering to host Ramsus-kun's projects! Now we shouldn't have to worry, even if the other upload services go down. I'm exceedingly grateful and excited at this prospect, as I'm sure you are all! Let's not hit the hosting service too hard now, eh? :3 I'll get around to all the projects, eventually... almost all of these can do with some edits of some sort, be it the English translation, the quality of the scans or the scanslation quality. Some of them are taking longer than others. I'd like to say thank you to those of you who've been kind enough to post the projects that are in need of re-uploading! I was actually hoping to re-upload all of Rk's projects today, but that's too big a goal for one day, it seems. Anyhow, I'll keep at it, and you all keep doing your best too, alright?! See you around, laddies! <3
August 28th, 2010
The day some of you have been long-awaiting is here! As of 3:16pm today, another chapter of the official Suikoden 5 Anthology manga is scanslated and released! Moreover, I'm proud to say it's the first chapter of the second volume. We've officially broken the barrier of the second volume!! I hope to devote the next week or so mainly to the Suikogaiden Translation Project, as well as to relaxing and reading and playing videogames and doing all the things one should do when one is on break. <3 I started playing Dragon Quest 9 (!!! I'm up on the times?!! A NEW videogame?! *goggles*) and man man man!! It's so fun! It's great! A wonderful way to distract me from any sort of Schnekkyy sadness I may be Schnekking!! What's that? These posts make even less sense than they ever did? Ah, well, I try... oh, and I meant to say that I'll also keep working on making sure I've got the FTP hosting thing figured out, though that comes after Suikogaiden. (Something like that.) Anyhow, enjoy! <3
August 28th, 2010
Whoo! I've experimented some more with FTP hosting, so pretty soon (or eventually, anyway) we should have direct downloads for all of Ramsus-kun's projects up and available! Thank you again to Godsibb for the hosting opportunity! I'd also like to thank everyone who's pointed out the dead or broken links--the FTP hosting should take care of that, but I'll also work on re-uploading them to other hosts, so that the dd server isn't hit too hard. (Not that Ramsus-kun is the most popular place or nuffin'. The most popular trash bin, maybe!) Been checkin' up on the Suikogaiden Project too, and making a little bit of progress on various translation projects. I shan't mention them here, so that if/when they actually get released you all will be pleasently surprised! >:D Cheers, I'm off to treat myself to some Final Fantasy Tactics! (Or perhaps FF9!)
July 12th, 2010
Today, I'm releasing the BEST XENOGEARS DOUJINSHI EVER! I kid you not! Download it and give it a read, and you'll see what I'm talking about! Man, I've been wanting to finish that project for ages! How nice it is to finally have it done...! (I wish I could sleep in tomorrow, too... but I'll do my best! Fear not, fellow hoodlums!) <3 Hoh! It's been nearly three years since my last Xenogears doujinshi scanslation release... time sure does fly!! In fact, it's been exactly 50 (finished) projects since "White Times"...! Wow! Does that mean I've translated over 50 things in three years?! That's pretty crazy! I guess I must be getting a little faster, then...! (Heehee.) Oh, and I re-uploaded White Times, so it should work, too. (Though don't ask me what the hell's up with Rapidshare. I think it'll only last for a week or so. Bubu.) Goodnight, I suppose!
July 5th, 2010
You ready for this?! Ramsus-kun is proud to release a 28-page preview of the official Suikoden 1 manga! All you Suikoden fans, read to your heart's content! XD The scans are somewhat low-quality, so we're looking for anyone who might be interested in scanning their copy of the manga for us at a higher quality. If that sounds like you, please drop me a line at [ RinUzuki@gmail.com ]! :3 In other news, the Suikogaiden Translation Project is still coming along great! Thank you for your support, everybody! :D
June 30th, 2010
Alright, so I think we're gonna release the first 20 pages or so of the official Suikoden 1 manga as a sort of promotion/preview. I'm hoping someone might be willing to scan their copy of the manga at a higher quality, since the scans we've got to work with are on the low-quality side... and I want people to be able to enjoy this series for everything it's worth! So, look forward to that soon. :D I'll get around to replying to the guestbook signatures pretty soon, and I'll check up on Suikogaiden when I get a block of free time, too! <3
June 26th, 2010
Hey, did I mention I'm (we're) scanslating the Suikoden 1 manga? I'm scanslating it. <3 Just... very slowly. I'm hopefully getting my new computer set up tomorrow, with a little--a lot of--help from my friends. X3 So, sometime in the future I should be getting all Ramsus-kun's releases re-uploaded; all you people who've signed the guestbook, don't you fret your pretty little heads, alright? Thanks for telling me, and I haven't forgotten! Likewise, thanks for voting in the poll--it's still open. :3
June 1st, 2010
Thanks to all who've voted in the poll so far! (located below) Keep those votes coming! XD I've another exciting announcement; courtsey of goddsibb.net, Ramsus-kun will one day be able to offer direct downloads of all the (my? our? its?) releases. So I'm planning a massive re-upload of all projects, woohoo! But before I re-upload them, I'm going to go through and make any corrections that are needed (such as typos or bad editing or what-have-you), so now's the time to point out any of those errors! Tell me all about 'em and I'll get 'em corrected for the direct download upload project! >:D (I know I've some suggestions for Nostalgia from way back when...) Contact me at RinUzuki@gmail.com or drop me a line via the guestbook! Love you guys!
May 31st, 2010
I got another poll for you all! You see, there's this one doujinshi in particular (the Breath of Fire 3 doujin, Forest of Bones vol.1) that I've had translated for years (literally...) but I haven't released it because I am (was?) determined to translate all the artist talks and the novel included in the doujin. However, as much as I hate to admit it, a translation... isn't happening. So the doujinshi is just sitting here, on my computer, being read by no one. The FFT doujin "Water Game" is in something of a similar position; I wanted to do the artist talks, but I don't think I can read them. So... I'm curious to hear your guy's opinions on artist talks and novels in doujinshi. I still need to make up my mind about those two doujin, but sometimes it helps to hear other people's opinions. So, whaddya think? :D
May 22nd, 2010
Just updated the Suikogaiden Translation Project quite a bit, which is making me fairly beam with happiness. Or maybe that's the love letter I just received. Eh?! What, no, of course I'm joking! What kind of scanslating snail of a schnekk receives love letters! ("This one", you say? Well, perhaps that's true... like in that guestbook of mine, haha!) Yes. Progress is a good thing. *Chief Lee smile* (Wait no, that's Xenogears. Who was the chief in Chrono Cross? Those dear old men, forever in my heart!) XD
May 21st, 2010
Hoho! Wow! Two releases in a single month! Excellent! And moreover, this second release is none other than chapter 5 of BOLT AND LANTERN!! Only one more chapter to goooo~! (Unfortunately I've no idea when I'll get that last chapter done, as it's neither cleaned nor translated.) And I should put some more time in on Suikogaiden, next chance I get. Also, the background may not be loading properly right now, so the download links aren't distinguishable from the background, but they're there. :3
May 14th, 2010
ALRIGHT!! A surprise release, straight outta the blue! (pun intended!!) *drum roll* Here, ladies and gents, I am more than pleased to present to you... a scanslation of the gag Dragon Quest 8 doujinshi "Slide Blue"!! I bet nobody was expecting that, huh?! Even I was caught by surprise! Well, by all means, go give it a read. >:D Ah, and thanks for all the guestbook signatures lately--all the attention is quite flattering! X3
May 3rd, 2010
Wow! I just checked the guestbook and found... a marriage proposal?! My! *blush* Now that's not something that happens every day!
April 9th, 2010
Wuoh!! So much for finishing up Forest of Bones (Breath of Fire 3) or Bolt and Lantern or Distant Promise (Xenogears) or anything over break! Those were the two busiest weeks of my life--I think I may actually be less busy now that school's started up again! (How does that work?) Rest assured, my dear comrades, that I have not forgot about this trashcan of a scanslations site, nor about the myriad and varied projects I've begun and hope to someday complete! However, I suppose I should focus my translating time on Suikogaiden, so I suppose it still may be a while before Ramsus-kun leaps out of this lull it's fallen into... and to the person who kindly pointed out the dead links for the Xenogears doujinshi White Times, I'll get on re-uploading that ASAP! :3 (Ramsus-kun may actually be able to offer direct downloads and possibly some via-internet-reading options in the future--an exciting prospect!) I bought a ton of doujinshi at this year's con... that wonderful stack, combined with those 80+(!!!!) Suikoden doujinshi I bought... hell, I haven't read half of them yet! Life is crazy and strange and wonderful! XD
March 25th, 2010
Okay! The Final Fantasy 9 doujinshi Lamplight is now re-uploaded via Megaupload, Rapidshare and Mediafire! Thanks so much for Dahl for sending me the original file again! (Haha!)
March 22nd, 2010
Oho! The most popular option seems to be to divide up the projects into completed and future. Okay! You guys want it, you got it! Thanks for voting! I'm working on putting together the Future Projects page as we speak! Maybe I'll even work on adding a bunch of the other projects I've got to it, haha. I don't know if that would be inspiring or daunting...!! I guess we'll find out, no?! (Perhaps inspirationally daunting!) Not to flood you all with polls, but I've actually got another question, since I'm working on changing some things around here anyway. :D
[EDIT] Oh! This is rather embarrassing to have to ask, but does anyone have the Final Fantasy 9 doujinshi "Lamplight" on hand? If so, would you be willing to send it to me at RinUzuki@gmail.com ? I appear to have misplaced my own scanslation... =A=;;
March 12th, 2010
Hey guys! I've got another poll for you all! What do you think about the way Ramsus-kun is currently organized, where I have completed and future projects all mixed together? To be honest, I stopped posting new projects as I got them quite awhile ago, because I've just got so many of them (lol) that I figured it was more fun to simply post them whenever I actually do finish them. But I have illusions of grandeur--of actually finishing up all the projects I currently have posted up on RK. Ah, I also put option 3 up there, because it's been in the back of my mind, but I don't really like the idea of dividing them up like that--I'd rather just have only completed projects posted or all of them together. I suppose I could make something like Impending Doujinshi's future project section, which is simple...

A RELEASE! Yes, on this most auspicious of days I am actually releasing a fine finished scanslation of a thing!! WOOHOO! It's chapter 4 of the Suikoden 5 4koma manga! And it's an astonishing... five pages long! XD Wait, this piddly thing is the first release of 2010?! Dear oh dear, the King of all Cosmos will not be pleased...! Gahaha, I'll just have to see if I can get anything else that's been lying around for two centuries finished up! <3 (I've got homework to do, but hey, that can wait until tonight!)
March 6th, 2010
Today I'm rescanning some pages from the fabulous Final Fantasy 7 gag doujinshi "SOLDIER", since my original scans are a bit hard to work with, and all of the Xenogears doujinshi "The Birth", as it's one of the smaller sizes (A5?). I want to see if scanning it larger makes for an easier scanslation project. I'm not sure how it'll work out, but we'll see. Also, over my break that's coming up, I want to focus more on finishing projects I've started (what a concept!) including the much lauded Breath of Fire 3 doujinshi "Forest of Bones" and the Bolt and Lantern manga. As well as Suikogaiden, of course.
March 2nd, 2010
UWOOORGHHH!! I WANT TO TRANSLATE!!!! Gyaaah! I wish I could just drop everything and work on some scanslation projects for a few hours... or a few days... I'm really missing working on these things! >n< But I've gotta hold out until break. Hopefully then I can work on (and actually release! *gasp*) some proooojects~! *Miakis face* Haha, in the middle of homework the other day, I just started writing a list of translation projects I've started and want to finish. I filled up an entire page... XD
February 15th, 2010
Hey all--I re-uploaded the Bleach doujinshi Orange, so the links should be working fine again. I'm having a bit of trouble with the Lord of the Rings doujinshi The Bluest Eve and the Final Fantasy 9 doujinshi Lamplight. I tried though, and hopefully I'll get around to it again sometime soon. Uwagh. Still crazy busy. Still ocassionally making progress on Suikogaiden... Ramsus-kun ain't dead, I sweeear. It's just Suikogaided is the only thing seeing any action.
January 18th, 2010
Thanks for your encouragement beams, everyone. I made it through a few more pages of that last chapter of the Xenosaga manga. Then picked up the kick-ass Xenogears doujinshi "Distant Promise" and made some more progress on the final scanslation, which was satisfying. I want to thank everyone who's taken the time to tell me about the broken links and to comment in the guestbook--I'll get around to re-uploading those doujinshi as soon as I can. It may be awhile, since I've got to find the CD they're on, before I can even begin uploading them, but rest assured I will do it eventually. And if a month or so goes by with no word, feel free to drop me a line again. Still busy busy busssyyyy.
January 18th, 2010
I'M GOING TO TRY WORKING ON THE XENOSAGA MANGA AGAIN!!! (The last chapter of the first volume, of a total of three volumes.) Everyone, please send me your encouragement / support / genki beamsssssss!! This chapter'll take some effort, without the Niku backing me up, but it's worth it! For Ziggurat and Matthews and all those other bloody lunatics! <3
January 13th, 2010
Woah! This is a first in Ramsus-kun history... I'm dropping a project! *A* Like, officially dropping it, not just letting it quietly fade away while I wish I had time to work on it, lol. The Final Fantasy 12 manga is now being scanslated by Something-or-Other scanslations (that really is the name of the group, it's not like I forgot it or anything), so head over there to pick up chapter 2. I supplied the raws for chapter 3, so at least my bending all the life out of my copy of the manga hasn't gone to complete waste. *gentlemanly smile* Still crackin' away at the Suikogaiden project (and the Suikoden 1 novels, to some extent) when I have any translating time. It's a little depressing to see the date of Ramsus-kun's last release... I suppose I could try to throw something together (like the next chapter of the Suikoden 5 4koma manga, which is all cleaned and roughly translated) but damn, I should be doing HOMEWOOOORRRKKK. >3< Mrgh! Well, least Suikogaiden's still seeing some action, with it being a group project and all. Anyhow, Ramsus-kun is still alive!
(Oh, and I apologize for some of the images being down. They may bounce back eventually, just imageshack being weird. If not, I'll try to fix it up. Sorry for the mess in the meanwhile!)
January 1st, 2010
Happy new year, everyone!
I'm happy to announce the addition of a new manga to Ramsus-kun's never-ending slow-as-hell-but-that's-okay lineup! It's the official Suikoden 1 manga by Yu Hijikata. Whoo! It's probably going to take even longer than normal to reach completion 'cause it's not divided up into chapters; it's all 160 pages of the first volume. But, luckily, someone else did all the work scanning it, and yet another kind person is going to do the editing and cleaning! So this may actually work, lol. Guess we'll see! I'm pretty excited about it in any case. On about page 20 of the translation. XD
December 21st, 2009
It's already been 11 days since my birthday?! How time flies...! I've finally had time to sit down and work on chapter 2 of Suikogaiden. <3 Feel free to head over to the Suikogaiden Translation Project website (linked to in the Projects section) if you wanna see how things are going. :3
December 10th, 2009
Wahoo! Happy Birthday... to me! XD I've got nothing to give you all to show for it, but whatever. A reason to celebrate! After finals, anyway. X3
November 26th, 2009
Hey! I haven't died! Who's spreading this hearsay?! XD I'm crazy busy though, and devoting any translation time I have to chapter 2 of Suikogaiden, so Ramsus-kun is sinking to the bottom of the trash bin. The trash bin labeled "updates". The trash bin full of doujinshi! (?!) I recently got about 90 Suikoden doujinshi. HOW INSANE IS THAT. Jeez, I could never scanslate them all... it's crazy. A little overwhelming, to be honest. Like, this many exist?! And I paid to have them shipped from Japan?! *A* ... Anyhow, head on over to the Suikogaiden Translation Project website if you're in the mood for some proofreading! :3
October 3rd, 2009
Surprise release! The fabulous Suikoden 5 doujinshi "Ara Rangi" is now completely scanslated and up for download. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did! ("It'd be nice if you could sing while you roll. Like that's possible.")
October 2nd, 2009
Alright, so I got everything successfully backed up. (Now I just gotta back up the back up, lol.) Did a bit of cleaning up too. Just want to note that some of the sections I removed... like the One Piece section, for example. That doesn't mean I'm never going to scanslate One Piece doujinshi, just that if and when I do I'll put the section back up. Same goes for the individual doujinshi. Bah... there sure are a lot of broken image links. I don't know whether I should try re-uploading them or just waiting until imageshack corrects them. Ahh, there's lots of little things I want to try and fix up.
October 2nd, 2009
I've been turning over ideas in my head about cleaning up Ramsus-kun a bit. Essentially, I'll probably be removing all the doujinshi covers that I don't have any intention to scanslate. It probably seems weird that they were up in the first place, but I had some idea in the beginning of having Ramsus-kun just be a showcase for my (and some of my friend's) doujinshi collection, with some scanslations of the things I wanted to scanslate. But Ramsus-kun's definitely a scanslating translating machine now, so I think I'll have to throw out the showcasing idea. Perhaps I'll make a seperate page thing for "my collection" later on... I kind of want to do a "wishlist" page of doujinshi, even though I know that's terribly lame and impractical.
Also, I think I might only have thumbnails of the doujinshi covers. I really like the idea of being able to click on the thumbnails to see the larger image, but... I think imageshack might get fed up with my horrendous number of images (since I upload four covers for every doujin). I don't think any one else really pays attention to the larger images, anyway. But feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
So the general idea is that Ramsus-kun would eventually only have the finished, available-to-download projects up in the projects section. I don't fancy dividing it up into "finished projects" and "future projects" so if there's any sort of "future projects" page, it'll probably be the afore-mentioned possible "my collection" page. Okay, I'm gonna finish backing up the current Ramsus-kun's images and html and then I'll get starting on this whole cleaning up thing. Wish me luck!
September 25th, 2009
Next chance I get I'm gonna put all of the chapters from volume 1 of the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga into one zip (complete with any changes that might need to be made), upload it and take down the individual chapter downloads & summaries. So make sure to grab any individual chapters you still need! :3
September 11th, 2009
Hurray! Chapter 3 of the Suikoden 5 4koma manga is here! You were expecting the next Bolt and Lantern chapter, weren't you?! Yeah, well, I'm happy whatever projects I can finish. :D Speaking of which... I don't really like advertising for help (my stubborn pride?) but... if any crazy Suikoden fan out there is interested in cleaning (and possible editing) future 4koma chapters, drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com ! I've actually got up to chapter 10 roughly translated. It just takes so long to get everything together and all scanslated and what not that I tend to put off cleaning scans in favor of other projects. You know? I mean, this chapter was cleaned, and it still sat in my projects folder for however many months. *shrugs* Well, luckily, speed has never been one of my main goals. :3 Hope you all enjoy!
September 9th, 2009
9/9/09... this day will forever live on as the day I COMPLETED SUIKOGAIDEN'S CHAPTER 1 TRANSLATION. Alright!!!
...I'm so tired...
September 7th, 2009
May I present to you fne ladies and gents... a completely unheard of Ramsus-kun SNEAK PREVIEW! Woho! This is a page of 4koma from the hilarious Final Fantasy 7 doujinshi SOLDIER I'm translating. I get the feeling that it won't be done for quite a long time though, and I wanted to share at least these two 4koma. Barret's face in the second one! Cracks me up. (How can anyone innocently go "eh?!" like a blushing schoolgirl while holding their machinegun arm up to their face?!)
September 3rd, 2009
Whew! I just added a humongous chunk of chapter 1 translation to the Suikogaiden Translation Project. Nearly done with chapter 1! We're almost there! This is so bloody exciting! XD I wish I could just keep scanslating and translating till I'd completed even half the stuff I wanna do, but... I'd better hit the hay. Soon. It's been fun, Link, m'boy!
August 31st, 2009
I'm back from my trip! :D Wow! There's a ton of new guestbook signuatures?! You guys really did write your hearts out! I'll get to replying to those someday soon. I like to savor them, you know? But to the person who offered to scan their Dragon Quest 8 doujinshi--yes please! I accept! (Well, I guess it depends on the content. I'm not so big on Angelo x his brother, Marcelius or whatever. But I'd really love to scanslate some gag DQ8 doujinshi! <3 Hentai, yaoi, maaaybe, depends, you know. Anything Yangus'd make my day.) E-mail me at RinUzuki@gmail.com so we can work something out. :D That goes for anybody else who's dying to scan their Dragon Quest 8 doujinshi for me in what I'm sure's an extremely awesome fashion. Right! My computer time is limited, so I gotta use it well! I'm currently working away on chapter 5 of Bolt and Lantern and a super long Final Fantasy 7 doujinshi called SOLDIER that probably won't see the light of day for a million years, but I gotta say I'm having fun working on it. I want to finish chapter 1 of Suikogaiden before school and work starts again, too... (I won't be able to get anything done then! *A*) Thanks again for all your support everybody! I love you guys! *zooms off Mulder style* (<--Damn, X-Files doujinshi. That'd be something.)
August 20th, 2009
Here's chapter 4 of Bolt and Lantern! Wheee! We're just zooming along! Arthur shows up in this chapter. Okay, so that's not nearly as exciting as Nora. But hey, man, it's Bolt and Lantern! <3 Haven't started on chapter 5's editing yet~... after being glued to the computer the past few days, my hands are about ready to implode on themselves. *A* I'm addicted to scanslating! (Whoo... maybe I'll take a break from Bolt and Lantern and see if I can't make more progress with Suikogaiden. Less photoshop involved.) Anyhow! How do you guys feel about Bolt and Lantern? Or any of Ramsus-kun's projects, for that matter? Feel free to post your innermost thoughts in the guestbook! <3
August 18th, 2009
Whoohoo! Chapter 3 of Bolt and Lantern is here! Nora the busty maid makes her appearance! I know you've all been eagerly awaiting this day! XD Chapter 4 isn't quite done being scanslated, but it's maybe halfway there. =u= Looks like the chapter by chapter method is now overwhelmingly in the lead, so that's how the last three chapters will be released, too. Thanks for voting, everyone! <3
August 15th, 2009
Alright! Since the "chapter by chapter" method of release is currently in the lead, here's chapter 2 of Bolt and Lantern!! :D Chapter 3 is done as well, just waiting to be proofread. And if you all suddenly overwhelmingly decide you'd rather see Bolt and Lantern released via the entire volume, the poll two posts down will still be open for awhile. Anyhow, hope you enjoy Asuka Katsura's lovely art! <3 (I know I do, huhu!)
August 13th, 2009
I'm itching to release chapter 2 of Bolt and Lantern! Come on guys! Cast your votes! *wild-eyed*
August 12th, 2009
Okay! Bolt and Lantern fans and those of you who remember reading chapter 1 of that awesome manga by Asuka Katsura that I released ages ago! I have a question for you. The mostly complete translations for Bolt and Lantern chapter 2, 3, 4 and 5 are sitting here on my desk (they've been sitting there for a number of months, actually). There are six chapters total. So, how would you like to see the rest of the manga released? There are three options:
1) Fastest: Chapter by chapter, as I finish scanslating them (or in the case of c6, translating and scanslating)
2) Slower: Massive combined release of c2-5 (then waiting for c6's released)
3)Super Slow Snail Speed (ie may never happen): Massive combined release of c2-6, with a possible re-release of c1 thrown in there
I myself think option 1 would be the best (easiest for me, in any case). However, I'm afraid that if I just throw chapter 2 out there no one's really going to care, because they've forgotten about that chapter 1 I released so long ago. So I feel like I should correct something in chapter 1 so I can use that as an excuse to re-release it, translate chapter 6 and then release the entire volume (c1-6) as one zip/download/release. So! What are your feelings on the matter? Sign the guestbook for all it's worth, or drop me a line at RinUzuki@gmail.com OR vote in this rather ugly and hard to read poll, courtesy of Freewebs! :D
July 13th, 2009
Dynast was kind enough to upload Big Brother via Megaupload, so we now have all three links up and available. :3
July 12th, 2009
Ladies and Gents, I'm more than pleased to present to you the Suikoden 3 gag and normal doujinshi "Big Brother"! It's quite a cute doujinshi, and I suppose by all rights should be listed as a Suikoden 1, 2 and 3 doujinshi, as it's half about Caesar and Albert and half about McDohl, Teo, Odessa and Ted. <3 Who could ask for a better bunch of characters?! I mean, with Thomas and Cecile in there, we've got some of the best characters in the whole series! <3 (IMO, off course.) I think I'm going to have to say forget the Megaupload uploads in the future, as they don't seem to work on my computer. Hopefully that won't break anybody's heart. Anyhow, hope you all enjoy! Comments and whatnot are always welcome.
July 9th, 2009
Updated the link to Hack the Mainstream in the Fullmetal Alchemist doujinshi section, as per request of a certain guestbook signer.
Oh man, you can tell I must be desperate if I'm updating with something like that on the main page! Ah, well... it's not like I haven't been translating. Don't even think it for a second! I'm a translating fiend. A rumbling, rambling translating thing of a (wo)man. I've been working away on the Suikogaiden Translation Project, among various other things. Sounds mysterious, don't it? And a mystery it will stay. Until I actually manage to finish and release something, that is! XD
June 5th, 2009
Today, I'm proud to release... the Final Fantasy 12 Basch x Balthier yaoi doujinshi "Yoru no Tsubasa" (Wings of the Night) by Cinnamon! I love Cinnamon's art, and I had a lot of fun translating this over the past month or so. Here's hoping you enjoy reading it as much as I did translating it! I've gotta book! *bows*
May 13th, 2009
WHOO! It's here! The last five chapters of the first volume of the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga are here! It's been awhile since the last release, but now... the first volume is complete! Let's go on to the second volumeeee! Heheh! And since this is the last release for volume 1, the artist comments and color pictures are included in the zip. :D Comments welcome, as always!
Ah! I realized that I forgot to include the credits with the release! Shoot! I'll have to fix it when I get home! DX I'll just put 'em here, lol:
Suikoden 5 Anthology Manga [volume 1] chapter 12-16
Scanned by Shu
Translated by rin_uzuki (that's me)
Cleaned & Edited by Dynast
April 26th, 2009
Uwaah! I really want to own the Basara doujinshi "Basaran" by Yumi Tamura herself! So I can translate and scanslate 'em! How come no one's done it yet?! Maybe Basara isn't very popular outside Japan...? ;A; Volume 1 & 3 are on Ebay for $20 apiece. If only I were rich... D: I wish I could work on scanslating today (I made good progress on the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga on Friday! <3) but I've got to do this painting for school. Which means I'm going to browse Suikoden doujinshi on Yahoo Japan for awhile, lol.
April 22nd, 2009
SakuraCon's come and gone...! It was a great year! Normally around now I'd be contemplating changing Ramsus-kun's layout (happy first birthday to this one!) but I quite like this one, so it's sticking around. <3 I bought a ton of Suikoden doujinshi! A bunch by Paper Moon and 2D Corps! What luck! I blew so much money, I can hardly believe it! Definitely worth it, though! XD
So, anyhow. I went through and updated the status of all the Suikoden doujinshi. In case you guys were curious. I've got about 30 Suikoden doujinshi to add to my to-translate section--no joke! Partially due to my own purchases (GEORG x PRINCE! Whee!) but mostly due to all the generous people who've been donating scans lately (the Livejournal Community "Suikoden_Yaoi" has played a big part in that, lol). I'm afraid to add them until I at least finish up a number of older projects, though. Which I'm definitely gonna! *hyped* Homework first though... *A*
*Dear god! I just realized that the Lord of The Rings doujinshi "Mellon" is by Kaori Fujita, the Suikoden 5 character designer! What the hell?! I've had that sitting here on Ramsus-kun for years and I never realized...!! Jeez! No wonder the art's so good! XD
April 1st, 2009
Wooooow! I've been translating an insane amount these past few days! First I did 40 pages of this Suikoden 2 doujinshi, totally out of the blue (unfortunately it's about 60 pages, lol) and now I just did a whole bunch of chapter 1 of Suikogaiden!! I'm so happy to be working on that project. *happy sigh* Now I think I'm gonna start a new game of Suikoden 1... <3 or play more Cave Story! I love being on break!
March 29th, 2009
WOOHOO! Chapter 1 of the Final Fantasy 12 manga is here! <3 Thank you Kalendel for doing the translation! (It looks like there's not going to be a Mediafire download link this time either, due to either my computer or the MF site having issues. Probably my computer, lol.) Penelo is so cute~! I envy Gin Amou's braid-drawing abilities! Heheh... I was kind of put-off by the faces in the FF12 manga at first, but after staring intently at the scans (while cleaning them) I've realized just how detailed the art in this manga is. It's quite a nice change from your average doujinshi. :3 I hope I can release a bunch of projects while I'm on break! I want to work on Suikogaiden esepcailly.
March 11th, 2009
Ohoho! I picked up my translation of the Xenogears doujinshi "The Birth" yesterday. Sigurd and Doc's conversation is as cyrptic as hell, but it's a lot of fun! I like the art, too... Well, I've edited about 20 or so pages of the 60-ish page first chapter of the Final Fantasy 12 manga... gotta keep at it. Ah! I beat FF12 this weekend! Absolutely fabulous! <3 It's really weird that I've got 5/6 chapters of Bolt and Lantern completely translated and no time to scanslate them. How times change! The same thing goes for the Suikoden 5 4koma manga, lol. I also want to scanslate the Xenogears doujinshi "Distant Promise", as I've had it almost completely translated for a couple years, and it's almost completely cleaned, I think. I was kind of shocked to find nearly all of the doujinshi typed up in Japanese on my computer. (When did I do that...?!) Anyway, I'm working away, even if nothing much's coming out of Ramsus-kun right now. Except a bunch of rambling. <3 SakuraCon in a month!
February 27th, 2009
My goals this weekend are to play videogames, scanslate, do homework and read! <3 <3 So much I wanna do! Particularly in the scanslating category, heheh...
February 25th, 2009
Oooh! There're two Final Fantasy 12 doujinshi I really want to buy... one is called "Highvision" and it's about Balthier and Fran <3 and the other is a Basch x Balthier doujinshi by Cinnamon, who has the most gorgeous art. Kera-Ma-Go's art looks quite nice too--shojo-ie, but detailed and competent. Gyaaah~! Should I get them?! Should I wait?! *A* I don't know--I think I'm gonna do it! But still, maybe I should wait...? No, no, best to go with the impulse!
No releases today. Kalendal's sent me her translation of chapter 1 of the Final Fantasy 12 manga ages ago, but I haven't had a drop of spare time. =___= Plus my right arm has been hurting like crazy (carpal tunnel?!). So I haven't made any progress editing it... Goddammit, sorry for being so slow. But, oh well. It'll happen eventually! :D
January 25th, 2009
Ohoho! I should be homeworking, but... instead, thanks to a couple of people spewing encouragement regarding Lord of the Rings doujinshi, I'm happy to announce that I've finally finished up the Lord of the Rings doujinshi "The Bluest Eve"! Hooray! <3 Ahaha, I've been watching House like crazy lately. What a marevelous show. Well, hopefully I can squeeze out some more scanslations in the days to come!
January 6th, 2009
Well, Bolt and Lantern is coming along pretty nicely. Perhaps not as speedy as could be desired, but I think it's good enough. And, contrary to what I recently stated in the guestbook, it looks like a scanslation of the Final Fantasy 12 manga may be a possiblilty after all, as I've been contacted by a translator from Storm in Heaven who's willing to give it a go, if I can manage perfectly blur free scans. Is it possible?! I don't know, but I'll do my best! I suspect it is, at any rate.
Haven't been able to work on Suikogaiden nearly as much as I'd like to. Mostly due to Bolt and Lantern, but I've been playing a lot of FF12. too, huhuhu... should probably try to beat it before I get everything spoiled for me by the manga, haha. (I'd like to drop a suggestive hint about the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga here. Something to the effect of it's being worked on steadily, and when we see some more releases... we'll see a number of releases.) :3 Oh, and happy New Year! I haven't got anything to give you all at the moment, but let's keep doing our best in 2009!!
December 22nd, 2008
Urghh.... I've been working like a madman trying to get Bolt and Lantern finished on time for that project. I've gotta take a break, though...! *x*
December 17th, 2008
Wow! It's been two whole years since I last released a Naruto doujinshi... That's a little crazy. Well, I'm here to fix that problem by bringing you all the shonen-ai Kakashi x Naruto doujinshi "Summer Festival"! Doesn't quite match the weather outside, but it's still an alright doujin. :D Also, the Naruto doujinshi "Blue Diamond" and "Radio in a Sea of Trees" are in the works. It might be awhile yet till they're actually done, though. Particularly Blue Diamond, which is pretty long. I've also been working away at the adorable Suikoden 5 doujinshi "Ara Rangi"! Man, I love Lun and Subala... <3 I've been looking forward to scanslating that doujinshi for a long time.
December 5th, 2008
Wahoo! May I present to you... the Xenosaga doujinshi "With You Forever"! Just a short little thing about Gaignun and Jr at the beach, but it's sweet enough. <3 And the first Xenosaga doujinshi to come out of Ramsus-kun! Does that mean the last chapter of the Xenosaga manga will be coming soon?!! Probably not, in all honesty... but it's something. :3 And we've also got the curiously late chapter 2 of the Suikoden 5 4koma manga. Should be something of a treat for all you Suikoden fans out there. Well, I'm off! *bows off stage*
November 29th, 2008
Well, we've had a lot of computer issues lately, but the computer came back from the shop today, so we'll see if it's all in good working order. Maybe I can even start using my tablet again! :D I'm still going strong with Bolt and Lantern's translation--just two more chapters to go until it's completed! Hopefully I can actually scanslate some of it too, if the computer's all fixed up. Suikogaiden's going good, too!
November 16th, 2008
The Suikoden 2 Flik x Viktor doujinshi "Love Sickness" (volume 1) by Wolfgung is here! It is yaoi--Ramsus-kun's first Suikoden yaoi doujinshi! woah--so be warned. You may burn your eyes out if you're not careful. It's a bit of a, er, cliffhanger, so let's all look forward to volume 2! Thanks a million to Asato for scanning & cleaning it and BFM for helping out with the cleaning, too! <3 Bolt and Lantern is coming along well. <3 <3 Chapter 2 may actually be released (before the end of the world)!
November 5th, 2008
Woohoo! I'm so glad Obama won! <3 In celebration, the mediafile links for Suikoden 5 Anthology manga chapters 10 & 11 have been added (thanks to Dynast for uploading them and reminding me). :3 What's that? It's a piddly celebration for a new president? Pshaaw, it's still a celebration. <3
Bolt and Lantern is priority number one! And then comes Suikogaiden, and other projects. <3 Will get back to Xenosaga someday! :3
November 1st, 2008
Haha! *triumphant laugh* I finished my translation of the Suikoden 1 doujinshi "Love Sickness" (volume 1) yesterday, so now it's on to Asato for the cleaning und editing. :D She scanned the doujinshi too, so let's all give her a round of applause! *pon pon pon* Now for a crazy long rambling update!
I've got news that'll shock and astound you! Translating the rest of Bolt and Lantern has now become my homework. No, don't adjust your computer monitors--you heard right, ladies and gentlemen! My homework! So, heheh, I've been working hard on it so that it'll be done by the deadline, and I've just started on chapter 4 (of 6)!! It'll be awhile longer before these translations are actually transformed into scanslations, but I am working on it. XD Man, I love this series. <3 <3
Speaking of Asuka Katsura, I purchased a Fullmetal Alchemist doujinshi by her! *A* I can't wait to get it...! I also bought two Georg x Prince Suikoden 5 doujinshi by a circle called KGM. The art isn't very good, but the story looks terribly sweet, and that's enough for me. :D Lastly, but not least, I bought this cute looking Final Fantasy 7 doujinshi called "Ryuusei no Hito"--it's fairly long, and seems to be about Cloud, Aeris and Tifa. :3 I'm officially in uber debt hell now and sinking ever lower, but... it's worth it!
Also, there's a possibilty that I may be translating the Suikoden 1 "Soul Eater" novels! I'd love to give it a try, anyway. XD I've made more progress on Suikogaiden too, so I should go update the translation sections on that website. Heheh, it's so exciting to be working on all these big projects!
October 28th, 2008
WOARGHHHHhhhhh~! Chapters 10 and 11 of the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga are here! Savefiles spazzing out on me, so at the moment it's just two of the three hosting services. I'd be happy to try again later, if necessary. But for now... I'm gonna go hit the sack. Bon voyage, laddies!!
September 27th, 2008
Continuing on my crazy Suikoden roll, here's the Suikoden 1 doujinshi "Night's Gate" by Kurokan and JAM! Isn't it interesting that the kanji which reads "kan" in "kurokan" actually means... "can"? "Black Can", lololol. Honobono what the heck. I love doujinshi artists and their fabulous names. I'm thinking of falling back into debt hell and making my first purchase from JPQueen... will it happen?
September 26th, 2008
Ah! I'm going to translate "Ristorante Paradiso" by Natsume Ono! Right now!
September 25th, 2008
Heey! I'm back, with one of the promised releases! <3 Here, ladies and gents, is the Suikoden 5 doujinshi Lym Para by Sake to Sakana and Hysteria! Enjoy! :D
September 24th, 2008
I'm alive!! JAPAN WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I can't even begin to explain it all--and I won't! No Need for Rambling Updates. <3 I was hoping to update with new and startling releases of scanslation projects (hence the long and awkward silence, which probably shocked anyone who reads this into thinking I'd decided to stay in Japan and live out my life as a Buddhist monk... and what kind of monk scanslates doujinshi?!) But I want to reply to all those loverly succulent guestbook signatures, so I've gotta say something here too. Well, the Suikogaiden project is coming along amazingly (though I feel I haven't worked enough on it as of late...) and I've had the translations of the Suikoden 5 doujinshi Lym Para (!!) and the Suikoden 1 doujinshi Night's Gate pretty much done for weeks, and me with no time to finish scanslating them! Damn and blast you Earth, for only having 24 hour days! (?!) And... too much homework... Interestingly enough, both doujinshi are done by two artists; Lym Para is by Hysteria and Sake to Sakana (whom I love tremendously) and Night's Gate is by JAM and Kurocan, who seem to like working together. I like them both, but whereas Kurocan's art is teetering on the somewhat dangerous brink between cute and, er... grotesquely cute, JAM's art is pretty consistantly great. Augh! Save your rambles for the guestbook! Right right, hopefully I'll be able to actually finish some scanslations soon! A miracle!
August 24th, 2008
Wahoo! I'm off to Japan for a week and a half! Hopefully I can buy some doujinshi while I'm there, heheheh... I guess we'll see what happens. <3
August 15th, 2008
YEAHHHHH~!!! Suikoden 5 Anthology Manga chapters 7, 8 and 9 are here! Hooray! <3 <3 Another three chapter releaseeee~! Enjoy. Now I'm gonna go eat a toasted cheese sandwhich with tuna. And play me some Xenogears! Yurmghhh.
August 14th, 2008
Good news! Ramsus-kun is gonna be scanslating the Final Fantasy 12 manga~! Courtesy of my scans, and Acqua's translation. :3 Heheh... Ramsus-kun is getting to be more and more like an actual group or something. Absolutely dumbfounding! XD In other news... the Suikogaiden project is coming along fabulously, Suikoden 5 Anthology manga pretty well, Xenosgaga rather slowly but well enough and~... I signed up for a BBS Oekaki chat board of my own! *A*
August 9th, 2008
Hee! Asuka Katsura's re-released Bolt and Lantern or something--whatever it is, the cover is terribly cute. <3 <3 Graahhhhh!!! It's one of my big goals to release more Bolt and Lantern before school starts again, but... will it happen?! I've got chapter 2 totally translated and the scans maybe halfway cleaned and chapter 3 is mostly translated with the scans not even started to look anywhere near cleaned up. :p Well, just keep being patient, my fellow Bolt and Lantern / Asuka Katsura fans! Patient while I while sit on my ass and play Xenogears (<3) and work on translating Suikogaiden and do homework and a million other things... but I will get back around to it. :D
August 6th, 2008
Wahooooo~! The fourth chapter of the Xenosaga manga is here! Something that's not Suikoden! Wowow! :O Now I should probably design that website I've been putting off... well, it's been fun scanslating so non-stop. But I can already see my time being sucked away by... school. Well, this chapter's kind of boring, but Ziggurat and Momo show up in chapter 5! <3 And that's the last chapter of volume one, heheh. Albedo, Miyuki and the Vector Boss also show up... <3 I'm looking forward to chapter 5! It's still gonna take us an eternity though. XD (Oh, right... there's no Mediafire download for this release because Mediafire's whacking out on me. If anyone wants one, remind me and I'll try uploading it again later.)
July 29th, 2008
I added another Suikoden doujinshi to the projects section--it's by 2 Dimension Corps, which rocks! Thanks so much to Shu, that dear fellow, for scanning it! :D Noein, Basara (as in the manga by Yumi Tamura), Mushishi and Okami... I'd like to see more doujinshi for these series. *glances about* I wonder if anyone'd be willing to scan their Basaran doujinshi? *A* Or maybe there're already scanslations available, fufufu...
July 20th, 2008
Woah!!! A super slap-dash release, here's the Suikoden 4 doujinshi "Sand Stars". Not particularly remarkable, and the fact that I did it in a day and a half probably shows, but here it is. Now! I'm off to go camping. No more scanslating, slap-dash or otherwise. XD
July 16th, 2008
Ramsus-kun is rolling along like the King of all Kosmos! Yes, we're rolling that fashionably! Suikoden fans, may I present to you... another excellent doujinshi by Paper Moon! It's called A Cappella [Act 1], and is the first of three in the series. :D Man, I really love Paper Moon. And you too Mytyl, for scanning the doujinshi in the first place! Thanks a brazillion~! <3 Heheh.... Xenosaga, Bolt and Lantern, Xenogears, Breath of Fire... I hope I can roll you all up too! Before the summer gets sucked away! Because everyone knows summers are for sitting in front of monitors. Least, any real Natural Scientist does. :p
July 10th, 2008
An amazing and shocking thing has occurred! Ramsus-kun is similtaneously releasing three chapters of the Suikoden 5 Anthology manga!! *A* Thanks to Shu, Pelto, Dynast and Ashleigh for making this all possible! We're like a real scanslation team! <3 Xenosaga manga, I haven't forgotten about you!! Buried in this avalanche of Suikoden love...
June 29th, 2008
The Suikogaiden Translation Project Website is up!! Come join, everybody!! Help us make an English patch for this marvelous game! *exhausted* Guh... so tired.. I hope this project's a success. :> I'll add a link box to Ramsus-kun's project section eventually, in an attempt to catch more people's attention. :D
June 29th, 2008
?!! Today, Ramsus-kun is releasing chapter 1 of the Suikoden 5 4Koma manga!! *A* Well, it's actually a 4koma anthology comic, but that would confuse things, so I'll just refer to it as the Suikoden 5 4Koma manga. :3 That's the fourth release this month! Absolutely insane. Admittedly, chapter 1 is only about 5 pages long. But I translated theback cover too--that's something! Lamplight, Laukaz, Dance Dance Dance and now this... *shakes head* This may just mean.. I don't have a life! *sudden hush* Outside scanslating, off course. Ahh... I'm gonna go grab something to eat! <3
June 27th, 2008
Woah! It's the day you never thought would come! Not only has Ramsus-kun released two projects in as many days, but today's release is... the Final Fantasy 8 doujinshi "Dance Dance Dance"! It's amazingly long! 90 whole pages!!!!! And I scanslated every single afterword! *A* After this, regular afterwords look so easy, fufuu... Hee. It's done, it's done!
June 26th, 2008
Ladies and Gents and others! Do I have news for you! Gather around now... today marks the release of the Suikoden 5 doujinshi "Laukaz"! XD See, it's even over there in Coco's update bubble. Heh. Thank you, Shu, for scanning it, and Ashleigh, for translating and cleaning it! In like two weeks too... better than my mach snail speed, for sure. Hoho.. this must be how actual scanslation "teams" feel! <3 Scanslating in groups is quite fun. Scanslating where the only thing I do is proofread is quite fun. Scanslating alone has it's benifits too. Ah, in any case, if you read Laukaz, I'd love to know what you think of it! :3
June 23rd, 2008
Hee! I'm slowly chomping away at the Final Fantasy 8 doujinshi "Dance Dance Dance"!!! Only 8 pages (or so) to go?! That's pretty good out of 90. :3 Suikogaiden site is... coming along okay. :> Happy birthday to el roonie!! <3
June 15th, 2008
Heehee.... Looks like maybe, just maybe there's a tiny itsy bit of a possibility that some wonderful people out there might just possibly maybe scan their Xenogears Comic anthologies and 4Koma manga for me to scanslate...!! :D There's no face to express the joy I associate with that statement, lol. Man, Xenogears ROCKS! Best RPG ever. Seriously. Even better in my book than Final Fantasy and Suikoden, although they're close seconds. Heheh, and getting new scans is always the most wonderful thing in the world. Mmh, on this topic, I wish I owned the Suikoden 5 Anthology/4Koma manga. Then I could just sit down to translate them--relying on just using the fab scans on the computer that Shu so kindly sent me isn't resulting in very fast progress. Same goes with the Xenosaga manga. There's no way I can simply buckle down and focus on doing one project at a time, mahahaha. Well! If I get that job at the library, one of the first (or perhaps second or third) things I'll buy will be my own copies of those manga! And maybe even the Xenogears manga(s) too! So wish me luck!! *telapathing good waves* XD
June 12th, 2008
I've gotta finish this essay, no matter what!! And preferably before five am! XD Then, in a few days... (more like a week, I suppose) I'll have all the time in the world to scanslate my heart out, or whatever! Yoshaaaaaaaaaaa---! *at 12%* It looks like Ramsus-kun may be welcoming a scanslation of a chapter of this cute French comic called Spirou. My friend Hulia scanslated it into English, which's totally awesome of her. And--good luck to you, Pelto, with your Gundam manga scanslation project! And... good luck to me with the Suikogaiden translation website design, which is very nearly done! Just gotta get the CSS down pat, and then add the conent, and change a few things. A project for this summer, for sure. *sighhhh* I just want to go translate that hilarious Final Fantasy 7 gag doujinshi, not write about any more novels. And I want to play more Xenogears and Odin Sphere and learn how to use my tableetttttttt.... summmer!! Get here already! And don't go away! TTATT Must make an effort to study Japanese more! Guh--! This post is totally devoid of scanslations and humor. Do forgive me! ESSAY, HERE I COMMMEEE!!!
June 3rd, 2008
Woah, another update today?! Well, I guess it's tomorrow, so it all works out. yeah. Anyway, I'm here to actually announce a release! That's right ladies and gents, an actual finished scanslation! And it's wonder of wonders, a Final Fantasy 9 doujinshi called "Lamplight"! It's mostly about Freya and Zidane and how they met up, and it was pretty fun to translate. wheeeeeeeee~! I'm off to bed. Hitting the sack, kicking the can.. wait. Uh. Whatever. You know. Still recruiting people to help with the Suikogaiden project! <3
June 3rd, 2008
Alright! Added a new gift to the gift part of the gallery, and... replied to the guestbook signatures! Wahoo!
May 27th, 2008
Alright, are you ready? Prepare yourself. This is the most massively long update Ramsus-kun's ever seen!!
I added a ton of new doujinshi to the Projects section; Xenosaga doujinshi "Forever With You", Suikoden 5 doujinshi "Continue", Suikoden 3 doujinshi "Sentimental Journey", Naruto doujinshi "Summer Festival", Naruto doujinshi "Radio in a Sea of Trees", Master and Commander doujinshi "Not Love, But Affection", another nameless novel Master and Commander doujinshi XD, Lord of the Rings doujinshi "Huntsman Chapter 2", Harry Potter doujinshi "School Calendar", Ghost in the Shell doujinshi "Number 09", Ghost in the Shell doujinshi "No Reason", Ghost in the Shell doujinshi "Hagare", Final Fantasy 9 doujinshi "Never Failing", Eyeshield 21 doujinshi "Midsummer Miracle" and another Eyeshield 21 doujinshi "Hanami Dango". :3 Now, to make this already ridiculously long update even longer... let's count up how many doujinshi are in each section!
Bleach doujinshi - 1
Breath of Fire doujinshi - 4
Evangelion doujinshi - 4
Eyeshield 21 - 2
Final Fantasy doujinshi - 17
Fullmetal Alchemist doujinshi - 2
Ghost in the Shell - 4
Harry Potter doujinshi - 5
Kipple/Harada doujinshi/artbooks - 3
Lord of the Rings doujinshi - 4
Master and Commander doujinshi - 2
Naruto doujinshi - 6
One Piece doujinshi - 2
Prince of Tennis doujinshi - 2
Suikoden doujinshi - 21
Xenogears doujinshi - 8
Xenosaga doujinshi - 3
other series doujinshi - 9
For a total of... woah, 99 doujinshi?!! o______o (And that's not even including manga and the other projects I've got piled up--this is crazy! <3) Huh. That's pretty amazing. Who knew Ramsus-kun'd grow so big? Well, accordingly, I added some new boxes in the Projects section; GITS, ES21, Xenosaga, and MAC boxes. Isn't this exciting?! RUMBLE ON!
May 26th, 2008
Huh. So, nobody's translating Arakawa Under the Bridge, Imperial Guards, or the Final Fantasy 12 manga? ... ...noooh!! I can't get sucked into anymore projects! Don't tempt me, Frodo!! *thundering Gandalf voice* I hope somebody picks up these projects, 'cause I'd like to read 'em. <3
May 21st, 2008
Asuka Katsura (creator of Bolt and Lantern) has drawn doujinshi--DOUJINSHI! They're unbelievably awesome looking...!!!!! Kya~h! <3 <3
May 18th, 2008
oho... I just (yesterday) finished scanning a regular horde of new doujinshi and projects, and I've got the sample layout for the Suikogaiden Translation Project all lined up. :D Wahaha! The weather's mighty fine, and I'm off to play me some Xenogears! Ah... it's wonderful to finally have some free time. :3
May 11th, 2008
"We'd butcher them."
"We'd butcher them like fish."
"We'd grate them like vegetables."
And with that fantastic introduction from the King of All Cosmos, may I announce to you... the release of Xenosaga chapter 3! I neglected piles of homework to bring this to the light of day--IT'S HERE! CHAPTER THREE! Thank you Pelto, for all your help! Hoo-hah! A release! *blubber* I.. I can't contain myself! *sniffle* We're still on the lookout for anyone interested in helping out with the Suikogaiden Project! <3 <3 Tata, loves!
May 10th, 2008
Wahaha!! The Suikogaiden Project now has three members! Thank you, Kestrel! Yeah, me, Shu and Kestrel--that makes three. :D Hey, Niku, if you're reading this... I think you want to join, too! *dubious grin* Wouldn't it be fun to translate a vidogame, eh? eh? Right, if we can get enough people interested, I think I'm going to make a separate website for the Suikogaiden rom/translation/ripping project. <3 <3 Let's get the word out to everyone even remotely or passionately interested in doing this! <3
Oho! Make that five members~! rin_uzuki (me), Shu, Kestrel, Oyabun and Niku in that order exactly!! Haha! We're growing in leaps and bounds!
May 9th, 2008
Much to your disappointment, I'm sure, this isn't an exciting new release update. Rather, I'm in the process of piling up more projects for the future! (haha)
You see, I've always wanted to play the Suikogaiden series--unfortunately, nobody wants to rip the game and do a full translation of it. So, here's my proposal! We form a team to translate the Suikogaiden series; gather up a bunch of people who're interested in creating a playable english version of the game. Translators, techies, proof-readers, game-play-checkers, uh... team-motivators? That way, no one person will get weighed down with the whole translating job and plus, it's fun to translate stuff in groups. Or at least, I've had fun going though and doing the Xenosaga manga with a certain Niku. Hmm... what's that you say? This already sounds like a hopeless project, doomed to fail like so many others? And where the hell are the scanslations already? My! What vulgar language! Don't be so pessimistic--I'm totally serious. LET'S DO THIS. So, is anybody interested in helping me amass a huge amazing Suikogaiden translation/game ripping team? Hmmmm? Shu has actually said that he could (at some point) rip the games, and he's already got a bunch of videos up on Suikoden Underground. Well, tell me what you think! You can sign the guestbook or send me an e-mail at RinUzuki@gmail.com ! I also accept telepathy on Wednesdays. :D
May 7th, 2008
GYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--!!!!! I'm really insanely busy! Now I understand, truly and deeply, how scanslators can die out with the final words "too much homework"! "It was the homework that killed her..." they all mutter at the funeral. "I warned her about all that homework, but did she listen?" Except for this year is great, and almost all my homework is either fun or at least somewhat interesting---submitting paintings to art contests (I actually got in one!? Hoo-hah!) and drawing manga for history class--what more could a wannabe artist (and uniform otaku huhu) ask for? But!! This isn't a blog! You all shouldn't give a damn about my paintings and so on. The truth is I'm stalling for time--stop Stalin! I just don't want to admit that I've had absolutely no time whatsoever for about the past 4 weeks to even look sideways at a scanslation project, much less think about working on any of them. =___= Oops, the cat's out of the bag~! Well, I've made my excuses(?) I really really uber appreciate everyone signing the guestbook, and the minute I can spew out a finished scanslation, you all will be the first to know! <3 Provided, off course, that you happen to be visiting Ramsus-kun at the time. :D
April 19th, 2008
Changed the Links & Other section some... still working out the kinks.
April 12th, 2008
Still... scanslating along. Making progress with various projects (in various places). Still... writing rambling updates. <3
GRAHHHHHHHH Xenogears is sooo much fun! The shiny farhead is the pruf of justice!!!
April 3rd, 2008
Guh....!! I can't scanslate anymore! I'm dead! DX Death by Scanslation, eh.... So much for releasing a million projects over spring break. *sighhhh* Hey, well, whatever! I'll bounce back the minute I get assigned an essay or two! <3 Not to sound like those over-apologetic doujinshi artists that are givin' me such a headache, but I do apologize for making people wait for scanslations--I feel horrundously guilty about not having finished those Breath of Fire 3 doujinshi yet, as well as being so close with chp3 Xenosaga and my neglectance of the Suikoden 5 manga. =______< What depressing mush!! Ignore this apologetic spewing, unless you're feeling resentful for me not having finished a scanslation you were kind enough to send me. Ahaha~ Toodles, then!
April 1st, 2008
You know, normally mascot characters are annoying, but I think Chopper... is really cute! <3 Kyah. Bought a bunch of doujin at SakanaCon, haven't even started scanning them yet. I'm on spring break though, so I'm working hard on the Final Fantasy 8 doujinshi "Dance Dance Dance"!! Xenosaga manga chp.3 is thissss close to being done~..just gotta check my translations against Pelto's! I added a "We Did It!" picture to the "gifts" section of the gallery. Also, thanks to everyone who's signed the guestbook! Makes me so freakin' happy! *sniffle*
March 28th, 2008
Haha! It's here! Ramsus-kun's new layout!!! <3 <3 Finally, eh? I've still got a few pages to do--the Gallery and the "Links & Other" pages bascally, but all the doujinshi pages are pretty much done. *wide grin* Well, what do you lall think? Isn't it great? Isn't Coco uber uber cute? XD [On a side note, although that picture of Coco is from the cover of the Bolt and Lantern manga, the actual picture itself is from Asuka Katsura's website: http://www.lungpeng.com/asuka/] I'm pretty proud of the completed-scanslations-in-a-bubble, too. :3 Heheh, SakuraCon is tomorrow! I hope at least a couple people are selling doujinshi! <3 Kyah! I'm gonna keep scanslating off into the future!! *uber genki*
